Financial Adviser – Retirement Planning
Location: Knutsford, Cheshire
Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Financial Adviser with expertise in retirement planning, specifically within the realm of private pensions, to join our esteemed financial advisory firm. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of pension products, investment strategies, and retirement income planning. As a Financial Adviser specialising in retirement planning, you will play a critical role in guiding clients towards achieving a secure and fulfilling retirement through sound financial advice.
Package:
Basic Salary: £43,000 p/a
Commission: 3% of any banked revenue paid monthly in arrears
Hours: Monday – Friday – 37.5 hours 9AM – 5:30PM
Holiday 25 + bank holidays
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on retirement planning, with a focus on private pension options, to clients seeking to optimise their retirement income and lifestyle.
- Conduct thorough financial assessments for clients, taking into account their current financial situation, retirement goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
- Develop personalised retirement strategies that align with clients’ individual needs and objectives.
- Recommend suitable pension products and investment strategies, taking into consideration the potential for growth and income generation during retirement.
- Educate clients on pension regulations, tax implications, and withdrawal strategies to ensure they make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as tax experts and estate planners, to create comprehensive retirement plans that encompass all relevant aspects.
- Monitor and review clients’ pension portfolios regularly, adjusting strategies as needed based on changes in market conditions and clients’ evolving circumstances.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, pension legislation, and market developments to provide clients with the most accurate and current advice.
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and ethical standards in all client interactions and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Accredited financial planning qualification (e.g.CII, CFP, ChFC, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of success as a Financial Adviser, with a focus on retirement planning and private pensions.
- In-depth knowledge of pension products, investment strategies, tax implications, and retirement income planning.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex financial situations to provide appropriate solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain intricate financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Proficiency in financial planning software and tools.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the financial services industry.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Regulatory compliance knowledge related to retirement planning and financial advisory services.
