Customer Service Adviser

Location: Knutsford, Cheshire

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Adviser to join our reputable financial advice firm. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, and be able to learn new skills quickly. As a Customer Service Adviser, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong client relationships while providing accurate and helpful financial guidance.

Holidays – 22 plus 8 public bank holidays

Salary – £23,000 p/a

Hours – Monday – Friday 9AM- 5:30PM (37.5 hours)

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients seeking financial advice, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests via phone, email.
  • Offer accurate and relevant information regarding financial products, services.
  • Listen attentively to clients’ needs and preferences, tailoring responses to their individual situations.
  • Guide clients through the process of selecting suitable financial services based on their pension type and requirements.
  • Collaborate with financial advisers to relay essential client information and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the firm’s financial products, services, market trends, and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in all client interactions.
  • Document all client interactions and update client profiles in the firm’s CRM system.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance financial knowledge, customer service skills, and industry awareness.
  • Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve processes and enhance the overall customer experience.

 

Experience/Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial products such as investments, savings accounts, insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to empathize with clients’ financial concerns.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality service.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial services and client confidentiality.
  • Professional demeanour and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.

This is a full-time position based in Knutsford.
